Becoming a mother has always been my dream since I was a little girl, but the path to parenthood was far from easy. When my husband and I decided to start a family, we never imagined we’d face the challenges of infertility. It felt like a sudden, unexpected blow, and the emotional weight was overwhelming. We embarked on the IVF journey with hope, but it tested us in ways we never anticipated - physically, emotionally, and financially.
After losing two precious embryos, we hit rock bottom. Doubt, guilt, and sadness clouded my heart, and I began to wonder if we’d ever hold our baby in our arms. But even in the darkest moments, a tiny flicker of hope kept us going.

Just before the world shut down due to COVID, we decided to try one last time. Our last embryo, a tiny, fragile and delicate cluster of cells was transferred into my body just one day before our IVF clinic closed. As I stared at the image of that five-day-old embryo, I felt an overwhelming sense of love and possibility. It was love at first sight! It was our last hope, our destiny, our everything.
That night, I began to sketch. I drew a round, imperfect circle, filling it with tiny cells and painting it with watercolors. With every brushstroke, I dreamed of it implanting inside me, growing stronger every day, developing its first heartbeat. I dreamed of feeling it move and kick, sucking its little fingers and wiggling its tiny toes. I dreamed of the day I’d finally hold my baby in my arms. And just like that, my beautiful son came into the world, and so did Kismet Hues.
